My home

Today I would like to take you for another tour around my place. The  livingroom and dining area, to be exact.

We recently replaced our Eames chairs at the dinner table with the Y-chairs from Hans Wegner. Wow, what a difference! The new ones are so much more comfortable.

Of course, after we changed the chairs, we felt that also the table didn´t fit any more. We spent quite some time searching for a substitute. We found The One simply by mistake. After all, life is about taking the chances:)

By the way, when i write „we“, I mean me and my husband. He has just a little to say, but therefore more to pay ;-) Luckily we both like it that way !

For now, I am quite pleased with the livingroom-dining area. Let´s see how long it stays that way.

Have a great week everyone.

Love from Stockholm,

Tilla

Copper for cold autumn days

An upgrade to a simple metal is a shiny copper. Lately I can´t get enough of it. Resource: www.manufactum.de

Just imagine a warm bubble bath in this copper bathtub. It will definitely make you forget the autumn gloom!

From simple to splendid! This side table is simply made of polished copper tubes and a glass top.

The result is brilliant – a highlight for your bedroom and a perfect storage place for books that will accompany you during the golden autumn.

An excellent alternative to a candle light. This cooper lamp will bring all nuances of light and shades to your home and make it cozy for romantic autumn evenings.

Taking care of an unhappy skin

Your skin should be cleansed both in the morning and in the evening. After a long day in the polluted city air or stuffy office, you should cleanse it even twice. Use a cleanser with no harsh ingredients or perfumes. Afterwards apply a gentle tonic lotion to remove any remaining limescale from the water. If you are prone to spots or have a break-out, you should use a toner with additional disinfectant ingredients. It is not recommended to use peeling or harsh exfoliators if your skin is disturbed or suffering. It will only irritate it more. In that case, a mask with healing oils (like shea butter and jojoba oil) may be very helpful. A light cream with tea tree oil and/or zinc should also help to calm the affected areas.

Products by Dr. Baumann

Make sure you keep all your cosmetic brushes, sponges, towels and all other things that come into contact with your face clean. Wash them often and thoroughly with detergent.

Visit your beauty therapist regularly to get a deep cleansing. You should also be adviced on what products are good for your skin type. More on this next week:)

Nevertheless, remember that there are also other factors causing skin problems. Hormones, stress and diet can have a direct influence as well.

In your diet, you should avoid sugars, animal proteins and milk. They can contribute to the bad condition of the skin because of the hormones added to the products.
