A new design hotel in Berlin

In December, Berlin will offer a new fantastic design hotel to all its Christmas guests.

The 5 star luxury hotel “Das Stue Berlin” is located right next to the Berlin Zoo. The building is dated back to 1930 and used to be Berlin’s Royal Danish Embassy.

The “Axthelm Architekten” revitalized the beautiful building which was destroyed during the war. The modern extension of the hotel relates to the history of the building. The entrance area was kept almost in the original form, which was achieved by restoring the old marble.

The gorgeous pattern of the exterior, obtained by the hydrochloric acid -consuming process, was done individually for “Das Stue Berlin”.

The elegant and comfortable interior of the open spaces was designed by a famous Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola.

Last but not least, I would like to mention the stunning wooden floors. The material was smoked in a specific procedure to gain this extraordinary color.

All in all we can be looking forward to the opening of “Das Stue Hotel”. It will be definitely worth booking some nights over there – even if you are based in Berlin! ;)
