Urban Nomads Lala Berlin

I liked the idea of taking the wonders of the desert in an urban context. This is what Berlin located brand Lala Berlin did. Organic forms and prints, light and silky materials paired with irregularities, inserts of lace or asymmetrical cuts define a modern, yet romantic feminine collection.

I especially loved a certain jumpsuit with wide legs and ruffles at the front. The delicate straps provide a beautiful décolletage and don’t steal the show of statement sunglasses and bag. I chose the Fendi bag which is the perfect accessory for a look that is based on prints and flowing materials as it doesn’t take away the lightness but sure gives a vibe of fashionable statement thanks to its own organic form.

Lala Berlin’s collection was all about a mix of contemporary modernism with traditional habits. That’s the reason why I mixed my very modern printed jumpsuit with heavier mule-boots in a statement color: yellow.

Denim never gets out of style. It has its ups and downs but it surely owns its spot in the fashion world. And this spring season is definitely denim season. Denim on denim, flared jeans and jumpsuits or a sophisticated look with jeans like Kate Middleton would wear it.

It’s easier than you think to find your denim-style. In my video we feature four different styles from luxurious classy shorts look styled with a blouse and pretty Jimmy Choo pumps to boyfriend jeans by Klixs jeans styled leger but still feminine.

Every girl can find her favorite pieces to enhance her personal look. You’ll see it’s easy!

How to wear: A Statement Dress

A statement dress can be the perfect look for summertime. You don’t have to wear a thousand layers (or can’t), so your look is defined by a few pieces and it might be not the easiest thing to stand out the colorful crowd in the city. A statement dress is a great alternative to shorts and a top if you like to achieve a certain level of daintiness and comfort.

The Dorothee Schumacher dress is a true eye catcher thanks to its material and very extravagant color. The orange harness and ruffles details may be an obstacle when deciding to wear it or not. But once you’ll wear it you’ll immediately feel the runway vibe. It’s a very warm and lobster colored orange which works fine with tanned skin.

I know, sometimes we feel a little bit shy or self conscious when it comes to fashion and we prefer to keep it low key. But don’t take the fashion circus too serious! Play around with colors and styles! And wearing a beautiful classic cut with popping color details is a first step in the right direction.

The secret behind wearing a statement piece like this dress is to keep the accessories simple and less colorful. You see? It’s really easy to dress up colorful. This long sleeve dress by Dorothee Schumacher with orange harness and ruffle detail is the perfect statement piece for a nice cocktail night out! So put your pumps on and have fun!

Daytime Coffee Date with a Friend

A daytime coffee date doesn’t have to be a blue jeans and sneakers kinda day! Dressing up is fun and you can do it whenever you want. Who would appreciate your efforts more than your best friends!? So I decided to create a casual and comfy look with a twist for this occasion.

Obviously your look should be comfortable and grey skinny jeans is a nice alternative to standard blue jeans. You can combine them with a top or blouse and immediately you will achieve an effortless chic look like this for a Sunday brunch.

For this look I added two pieces by Marc Cain which complimented each other wonderfully. The fluffy cream colored sweater adds a certain casual vibe whereas the long lace tank top enhances the combination.

I added Jimmy Choo high heels whose lace details match the lace details of the undergarment tank top and gives a class of sexiness.

A loose bun and subtle makeup accomplishes the look for a daytime coffee date with a friend.

Best of Berlin Fashion Week

For anyone that missed Berlin Fashion Week, here are our favourites for the spring/summer collection 2016.

Lena Hoschek with her collection „En Provence“: Feminine dresses, floral prints and bohemian chic inspired by 1850s fabrics found in the South of France. C’est magnifique!

The dominant trend color of the spring/summer season 2016 is white. Marc Cain presents white elegance under the theme „Future Romance“. Inspiration was taken from the classic 1975 movie „Picnic at Hanging Rock“.

Riani brings back the colourful style of the 70s and combines light materials with wild leather and ethnic look. The company booked many well-known faces from „GNTM“ for its runway: From Rebecca Mir to Luisa Hartema and the top three finalists from the previous season Vanessa Fuchs, Anuthida Ploypetch and Ajsa Selimovic. Lovely!

Talented star designer Marina Hoermanseder rocks the brilliant mix and match between soft pastel colours, blossoms and leather elements. 8,000 leather flowers were handcrafted for this collection. We are amazed! No surprise she is part of the German Fashion Design Council.

How to style a jacket which is older than you? Mix it up! Really, my Vintage-Boho-Jacket is 40-50 years old. I`ll love to mix it. Such a signature piece needs calm and basic company. It works with nearly every color of the rainbow – I recommend washed -denims oder a uni colored dress. That yellow….but in a playful Boho style – Summer ist coming ..hopefully

As Accessoires I style Guess-Heels same colored as the dress and a Vaca Vaca Clutch in black with tassels oder sandbeige.

The Feminine Twin Set

This feminine twin set by Dorothee Schumacher is one of my favourite spring and summer look and I would love to share it with you.

It’s the perfect combination for this time of the year. It symbolises summer lightness thanks to the soft material and has a spring-ready length. Berlin (or even Germany) is not the sunniest place on earth and a midi skirt is the ideal compromise if you want to show your legs but are afraid to freeze during the day.

The look of this feminine twin set by Dorothee Schumacher changes with your choice of shoes. Brogues take away the cuteness and add some bohemian flair and high heels create an even more feminine look. I decided to keep it girly and fresh so I picked beautiful sandals.

Metals are a huge thing this season and they suit everyone. Just give them a try once you wear them you’ll know that you’ve found your new favorite heels! Don’t you just love the retro touch?

Dora and I had so much fun filming this spring inspired look at Hackescher Markt.
